Maxum built its reputation by delivering affordable, well-styled boats at very competitive prices. The 3100 SE (called the 3100 SCR in 2002) fit into this mold nicely—a sporty sterndrive cruiser with a midcabin interior and a long list of cruising amenities. She’s built on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull with moderate beam and reverse chines to dampen spray. Belowdecks, privacy curtains separate the fore and aft sleeping areas from the main cabin.
