2023 – Shaft seals and mechanical maintenance
Shaft seals / PSS
• Both main-engine PSS stuffing boxes disconnected and cleaned during the
December 2023 yard period.
This work precedes the later shaft-seal inspection in 2025 and the considerably more
extensive shaft-line, hydrolube-bearing and PSS replacement programme documented in
2026.
